{ Trend Report – QV54 }

Today we share one of our favourite venues that we love working with. QV54 is a deeply historic venue within Cape Town CBD. This Art Deco building was opened back in 1937 as a bank, but has since transformed into an amazing event space. Your venue is one of the most important aspects of your event and QV54 is a fantastic option.

There are a number of rooms that can be used throughout the venue and depending on how many guests are being hosted the venue can be tailored to your needs. From intimate dinners for 50 guests to ripping parties for up to 500 guests, QV54 has the capacity for it all. The venue is incredibly versatile and has been used to host weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and film shoots. We had such fun putting Alex and Shaun’s quirky and unique wedding together at QV54; click here to see what we created for them.

The authentic teak doors, wooden panels, arched windows and dome ceiling create an amazing old world feel which lends itself to an opulent and elegant event. The space is ideal for a swing style party which have been increasingly popular lately. Have a look here on how we transformed the venue for a formal Gatsby Style gala dinner. However modern twists through decorative elements compliment the venue very well to give you a more contemporary look.

Whereas some venues offer only an empty shell, QV54 includes furniture, a sound system and all bar glassware which can all help towards keeping within your chosen budget. All that is really needed is some additional lighting, a few d├ęcor pieces and your favourite caterer to make your party a huge success.

We have had countless memorable events at QV54 and we look forward to many more to come.
